Abstract Regulations

With the submission of a late abstract to the EACR Annual Congress 2025, the submitting author/presenting author:

  • Accepts responsibility for the accuracy of the submitted abstract.
  • Confirms that all co-authors are aware of and agree to the content of the abstract and support the data presented.
  • Warrants that the data and conclusions presented in the abstract have not been published in the same format and with the same title prior to the date of the Congress.
  • Identifies any financial interest in products or processes described in the abstract. This information is to be forwarded to the Scientific Committee together with the abstract.
  • States that, for studies involving human or animal subjects, permission has been obtained from the relevant regulatory authority and properly informed consent given where appropriate.
  • Gives permission for the abstract to be published by the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) on the Congress website and through the Congress app. Abstracts submitted during the late abstract period (10-22 April) will NOT be published in an online supplement to the journal Molecular Oncology.

Presentation of abstracts: All abstracts submitted during the late abstract period (10-22 April), are not eligible for oral or spotlight presentation. All abstracts selected for poster presentation at the EACR 2025 Congress must be presented in person.

The submitting author for each abstract must designate a presenter who agrees to register for the Congress and present in detail the research discussed in the abstract. We strongly advise that presenting authors put funding and/or visa arrangements in place as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Please note that the early rate registration deadline will NOT be extended for late abstract submitters, so to take advantage of a cheaper registration, the presenter will need to register and pay by 28 April.

If the assigned presenter cannot attend the Congress, the authors are expected to designate a replacement or withdraw the abstract no later than 16 May 2025.

If by 16 May 2025 the presenting author of the abstract is not registered the abstract will be withdrawn from the programme.

Before submitting an abstract you should read the complete Abstract Submission Regulations.
