NVision Imaging Technologies: Hyperpolarized MRI Agents: Visualize Cancer Metabolism - As It Happens

18/06/2025 14:30 15:15
Auditorium VI+VII

Hyperpolarized metabolic agents for the MRI offer a real-time, non-invasive, spatial quantification of metabolic flux in vivo. For example, MRI with hyperpolarized [1-13C]pyruvate maps pyruvate uptake and its conversion to downstream metabolites such as lactate and bicarbonate, providing tissue-specific quantitative data on metabolic dynamics in vivo, that can be repeatedly acquired following time and perturbations in the same animal.  These readouts are valuable for characterizing disease models, understanding disease progression, evaluating metabolic responses to interventions, and developing translational biomarkers.  Join us to hear more about this cutting-edge technology and its applications for cancer research.
