Dr. Pfeifer serves as a Project Manager and leads a team in the R&D department at Miltenyi Biotec in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. Her research focus lies in immuno-oncology, CAR T/NK cell therapies as well as the development of novel products that allow an in-depth evaluation of cell therapies in the preclinical in vivo testing phase using various 2D and 3D imaging approaches.
Dr. Pfeifer obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Tuebingen in collaboration with Miltenyi Biotec, in which she worked on the development of CAR T cell therapies for breast cancers that are resistant to chemotherapy treatment. Prior to this, she was a research fellow at the Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles (CHLA) investigating alterations in glycosylation patterns upon malignant transformation.
Dr. Pfeifer received her diploma training in Biochemistry by the University of Tuebingen in Germany and the Rockefeller University from which she majored in immunology focusing on adoptive cell therapy.
