Dr. Oscar Molina is a cancer researcher with over 15 years of international experience across Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States, specializing in chromosome biology, genome instability, and hematological malignancies. He trained at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology (Edinburgh, UK) and the U.S. National Cancer Institute, developing expertise in molecular biology, chromosome engineering, and genome stability. In 2017, he joined the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute in Barcelona (Spain), where he led research on aneuploid pediatric B-ALL and mitotic defects in disease progression. Since 2024, he is a Junior Group Leader at the University of Barcelona, leading the Laboratory of Aneuploidy and Genomic Instability in Cancer in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
