Medical degree (November 1975) at University at Padova University, Medical School, with specialization in oncology (1978) and radiotherapy (1988).
Successively I did internship at Division of Medical Oncology in Padova; I worked as a full-time assistant and after as full-time associate in the Medical Oncology Division in Pordenone Hospital (Italy).
From June 1985 to January 1997 I worked at IRCCS Aviano in the Medical Oncology Division and also as a Chairman of the Immunotherapy in at the same division (from 1990 to 1997).
From 1996 to 2016 I was the Head of the Division of Medical Oncology at Trento Hospital (Italy).
From 2016 to present I am the President of the Pezcoller Foundation in Trento, Italy.
I was a visiting scientist at the National Cancer Institute-Frederick Cancer Research Center, Frederick, Maryland (USA), in the Cancer Metastasis and Treatment Laboratory, chaired by Prof. I. Fidler. in the 1980, 1981 and 1982.
I am member of: A.I.O.M. (Italian Association of Medical Oncology), ASCO (American Association of Clinical Oncology), ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) and AACR (American Association for Cancer Research).
