Shoko is a Foundation Year doctor in the UK, having received her MB from the University of Cambridge in 2023. Alongside her clinical training, she completed a PhD in the laboratory of Dr Sakari Vanharanta. Her research focused on transcriptional and epigenetic state transitions in early renal carcinogenesis, aiming to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underpinning the early stages of kidney cancer development.
