YihanXu
I’m a 3rd-year PhD student in the Systems Oncology group at the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, supervised by Dr Claus Jorgensen. I obtained BSc in Biochemistry from King’s College London in 2022 and MRes in Cancer Biology from Imperial College London in 2023, while conducting a research project at the Francis Crick Institute under the supervision of Dr Samra Turajlic. My current research focuses on the heterogeneity of fibroblasts in the tumour microenvironment of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. I take advantage of novel single-cell multi-omics technologies to investigate fibroblast subsets on the proteomic and transcriptomic levels, with the aim of identifying and restoring tumour-restrictive pathways mediated by fibroblasts.
