AlexJordan
I am a Translational Oncology Scientist in the final six months of my PhD at Barts Cancer Institute, specialising in the tumour microenvironment (TME). My research bridges wet-lab discovery, computational biology, and scientific communication. I utilise high-plex spatial omics and AI-driven digital pathology to map breast cancer vasculature, alongside building custom R pipelines to stratify clinical cohorts, with the goal of improving treatments for patients. Previously, I spent two years at the CRUK Manchester Institute specialising in liquid biopsy workflows. As Deputy Project Manager for a CDK7-inhibitor clinical trial, I managed clinical samples (GCP, HTA) and delivered strategic biomarker updates directly to our pharmaceutical partner. As a passionate scientific communicator, I thrive on translating complex oncology data for diverse audiences—from industry stakeholders and senior academics to patient advocates.
